Introduction
Hi, Folks.
PC Smith here. I have been playing piano, singing and songwriting for about 60 years now. After many years in the computer trade, I now have time to do nothing but play music whenever I want. I also write and produce songs in my basement in Circle Pines, MN. All my published music is available on SoundCloud.com, Spotify, Apple Music and many other streaming platforms. Original inspiration: My mother made me take piano lessons at age 11. I didn't care for it at first, but then found out you can play rock and roll on a piano. From my first band on it was all downhill for my parents. I made it through high school, dropped out of college and played in a succession of bar bands, only one of which (Fatt City ca. 1976-82) was even somewhat popular. (Also, I did fit 27 years in the computer trades in there)
Since I am a songwriter who likes melodies, Lennon and McCartney wrote the songs I like most. Most of my stuff is inspired by them.
I still do it because long ago I started to sound good to myself, a necessary goal for any musician to attain to stay motivated.
